DkIT Choir join special St.Patrick's Day TV Production at the Market Place Theatre

The Dkit Choir, made up of students from the BA (Hons) in Applied Music and conducted by DkIT Assistant Lecturer Annalisa Monticelli, recently visited the Market Place Theatre in Armagh to record 3 musical numbers for a St. Patrick's Day special that will be aired on St. Patrick's Day at 9pm on BBC 2 and 9:30pm on TV4.



Along with the DkIT Choir, the cast of the show included The High Kings, Sean KeaneRioghnach Connolly, the Armagh Pipers, Celicanto (accapella vocal trio) and the Extreme Rhythm Percussion troupe, among others.

The event was hosted by Daniel O Donnell who also sang one number with the DkIT Choir.

Speaking after the recording, DkIT Assistant Lecturer, Annalisa Monticelli, commented:

The Dkit choir did a great job and represented the school wonderfully!"
