DkIT Opens Campus Doors for Open Day

01 December 2021

DkIT were delighted to welcome over 600 visitors to our Open Day on Wednesday 24th November. This is the first time that an open event like this has taken place on-campus in 21 months. All attendees had to adhere to our health and safety guidelines on the day, which helped make this a safe and successful event for everyone.

The annual open day is an opportunity for visitors to get a taste of life as a DkIT with opportunities to meet with lecturers, speak to current DkIT students and take a tour of the Institute’s facilities and campus.

Students and their families arrived from Counties Armagh, Cavan, Down, Meath, Monaghan, Louth and North Dublin. DkIT’s MPC hall was transformed into an exhibition hall for DkIT’s range of courses, from applied music to applied bio science, early childhood studies to agriculture, mechanical engineering to accounting, sports and digital marketing. Visitors could also find out information on student services from Disability, Careers, Admissions and more.

After talking to lecturers, visitors were given the option of a guided Campus Tour by some of our fantastic student ambassadors.
